I get asked from time to time how as a seller might one, maximize their value. Um, and I think that answer is always going to be sell it yourself.

how to sell your cards

Set up at a card show. Go sell it at a card show. Walk around, talk to the dealer, see if they want to buy it.

Facebook marketplace. Sell it on eBay. There’s 17,000 apps that have different things that you could sell it. The bottom line is though, if you want to make the most money for your card, the best way to do that will always be to sell it yourself.

If you take it into a shop, don’t expect the card shop to be your piggy bank. Okay? That’s not what card shops are there for.

Card shops are not there to buy the things that you can’t otherwise sell. They’re there to make money as well. Right? So, assuming that because you can’t sell a card, a card shop can, I think that’s a little incorrect.

If you can't sell it, there's a reason why.
With all the avenues that are available to us, I would expect that card shops aren’t gonna be able to do that either. We buy a lot. We don’t buy everything. But I am honest with people, I’m upfront with them about this. We are never going to work as your piggy bank because you can’t sell your cards. But I’m always happy to give you options. If you ask me, “What are my options for moving this card?” I’m always gonna talk to you about that. But to maximize your dollar, maximize the value you get for your card, always do it yourself. That’s how you’re gonna make the most money.
